The International Harvester Scout was one of the first production American civilian off-road sport utility vehicles. It was originally created as a competitor to the Jeep and like that vehicle early models featured fold-down windshields. The first generation Scout and second generation Scout II were produced as two-door vehicles with options of a half cab pickup truck or a removable full hard or soft top. Scout 80s were built between 1960 and 1965. These models were identifiable by removable sliding side windows in 1960-1961 and even some very early 1962 models a fold-down windshield vacuum windshield wipers mounted to the top of the windshield and an IH logo in the center of the grille. This particular 64 Scout 80 has gone through a major restoration to make it what you see today. With monster 36 super swamper tires a Chevy 350 V8 under the hood and a 203 transfer case handling the 4 wheel drive there will be nothing that will get in your way! We have two folders each an inch thick that is full of receipts and manuals for this truck. The majority of the work done to the truck has been completed since 2008. This is virtually a new truck with countless new parts and pieces. Outside the all steel body is laser straight and finished in a bright red paint scheme that continues to the inside of the truck. You will find virtually no imperfections to the outside of the truck. The front bumper has been replaced as you can see with this giant tubular bumper with fog lights that looks great. The rear has also been replaced with a tubular bumper. The truck still retains the original tailgate. There is no top for the truck or roll up windows just a bikini soft top. Inside the dash is custom stainless steel with a full set of Autometer gauges set in. There is a sound system in the truck that includes a 10 sub woofer between the seats and speakers in the doors but there is currently no headunit installed. All wires are there to install the headunit you desire. The seats are both in great condition and have been covered with waterproof seat covers. The carpet looks good with no major wear to be found. Under the hood you will find a freshly rebuilt Chevy 350 V8. The motor is extremely clean and has loads of chrome accessories as you can see in the photos. The engine bay has been painted to This is a power steering and power brake truck that drives great down the road. The automatic transmission shifts as it should and connects to a 203 transfer case to handle the 4 wheel drive. The rear end is a 10 bolt but were not sure what gearing it has unfortunately. The underside is solid with no rot that we have seen and is nicely detailed. The drive shaft has been painted to match the rest of the truck. Dual Flowmaster exhaust runs out the rear which sounds great. The VIN number is FC91573A4 and the truck is being sold on a clean Washington title.
