This Morgan & Son built (Bud Morgan) big block Chevrolet engine features a stout 4-Bolt Main GM 454 CE block (casting 3999289) built to LS-6 specifications. This fully balanced and blue-printed assembly features a top quality rotating assembly, highlighted by the GM NOS LS-6 Forged Steel (3967416) crankshaft. Polished beam GM dimple rods spin with Speed Pro Hyper Pistons. Plasma Moly Rings provide supreme piston to cylinder wall sealing. Induction duties are courtesy of a tuned Holley double pumper 4bbl. carburetor atop an aluminum GM LS-6 snowflake high performance intake (casting 3963569). The cylinder heads are Pro Comp Aluminum heads with high performance hardware that includes Comp. guide plates, pushrods and springs along with Comp Ultra Gold roller rocker arms. A specially ground Pro Comp solid lift camshaft has been utilized for maximum performance across the RPM range. Power climbs up to an excess of 550 horsepower on 92 octane pump gas. A Cloyes double roller timing chain keeps the timing accurate. MSD handles the ignition duties with a Pro Billet Distributor, 8.5mm Wires, and High Performance Coil. A Melling High Volume Oil Pump works in conjunction with a Milodon high performance oil pan.
