This vehicle is displayed in our San Carlos California Showroom (650) 326-1000., Not often seen on roads today, the original Mini was a small car produced by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original Mini is considered a British icon of the 1960s and its space-saving front-wheel-drive layout, which allowed 80% of the area of the car's floor pan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced a generation of car-makers. This 1968 Austin Mini has undergone a comprehensive restoration with numerous service records documenting this Mini's return to glory. Small and compact in appearance this Mini is surprisingly roomy once inside the cabin and headroom is not an issue even for those over 6 feet tall. The exterior of this Mini is wearing recent light blue paint sprayed in 2005, while the interior features grey seats with black carpets.
